Good morning peeps! How are you doing?
There is a very specific reason why I wrote the title of today’s article in both English and Japanese. I’ll get that to you later! Right now I want to talk about my first day of class at a new University.
My first class at 8AM which is a journalism class is downtown, so I have to take a train from my house to downtown. The class was nice, it seems like it’ll be interesting once it get’s started. I’m not really looking forward to going out and doing stories… unless it’s partnered then sure that’ll be fine!
We actually are supposed to be in this class for two hours on Monday, but since it’s the first class of COURSE we were only there for an hour and my next class was at 11… I should’ve went to staples or something and got notebook and stuff but I didn’t. I decided it was much more important to know where my classes were. So I got on the subway and ride to my next class.
So I get to main campus about 10 or 15 minutes or so later and I begin to walk… First I secured the locations of the library and bookstore in my memory. Then I went to the building where my actual classes are and looked around for my classes.
My next class is Japanese. And this is where the Japanese comes in. Of course I took this class for an easy A. It’s a beginner’s class. The teacher came in and spoke only in Japanese which I’m sure worried A LOT of people. She continued this for the next 20 or 30 minutes before actually speaking any English. In general, that class is probably going to be the most fun and most worry free of my classes this semester.
Next class was History class at noon… this is my only lecture class. The room smelled really bad. The professor is really cool but OMG I could not wait to get out of there… it’s called a SHOWER people, use it!
My last class (and my second favourite so far) is sociology. The professor seems very nice and approachable. Again… the room smelled funny and there were like not enough seats at all some people would come in and walk around the room for a couple of minutes before finally spotting a seat. Definitely have to do something about that guys….
Anyway all in all, the first day was OK. I didn’t see anyone I knew, but I have all semester to find them I guess (LOL).
Alrighty then, I need to get going… I’m not even dressed yet and it’s 10 o’clock.
